How do I schedule an appointment?

- Call, email, or have your doctor send a referral to us. 


Do I need a referral or prior authorization?

- Nope. Having notes from your doctor is helpful though.


Will my insurance cover my appointment?

- Most insurances plans will cover Nutritional Counseling when seeing a Registered Dietitian.


What is the difference between a Dietitian and a Nutritionist?

- Registered Dietitians go through extensive education and training. They have a degree in nutrition with an additional 1200 hours in clinical and hands-on training at an accredited internship program. Dietitians are a medical profession, who have completed formal, legally regulated medical training and are qualified to provide medical nutrition therapy.  

- There are no regulations on who uses the title Nutritionists, some do hold certifications but some may not have formal backgrounds or education and training. Nutritionists are not able to bill insurance.
